the politics of dub

another dubstep flyer and more dub politics fun to be had, this one for the end of november. not a massively original idea, but wanted to give the icon look a bash, think it turned out quite nicely. dub politics cru coming down brighton tonight, should be a good mashup.

brighton town

been in brighton for month or so now, all moved in, all cushty. got a full time job at pound stretcher to pat the bills though it means the design is suffering slightly for it, going from pretty full time design to another job, then having to design when i wake up before work then at night when i’m back. tiring stuff. anyways here’s my first bit of work for brighton town, (dubstep flyer, standard). for the night “dubstep mayhem”. took me a while to work it out as my brain functions at half the speed now with the new job. worked out well once i got into it though.

nu-clear sounds revamp

new work for nu-clear sounds, last year all the work i did for NCS boys was all quite grimey paint splats and skulls etc, but trying to do some more graphicsy pattern type things so came up with this, was also thinking of turning into a t-shirt design, without the words obv.

dub politics halloween special

flyer for the dub politics boys. more people doing well for themselves. their single launch went off at the O2 academy. heavy night, ended in a blur always a good sign. if you wanna get a copy of their single ‘erectosub’ can find it on itunes or chemical-records and various other places.

here’s their flyer for halloween night at The Bullingdon in Oxford, looks like it’s gonna be a heavy monstrous night. flyer done in hammer horror/b-movie style.

(also noticed a lot of really bad gramma and spelling in my posts recently, brains not functioning properly, think i’m developing late in life dyslexia)

Collision no. 5

new flyer for the collision boys down in bristol, this one a dubstep special. this night is now bi-monthly and they’re not doing too bad for themselves considering they’ve only just left school, looks like this night is gonna stick around for a while. can join their facebook group >>>here<<<. show the love. whilst we’re on groups you can check out mine  >>>here<<<.

new flyer for Restless D&B down in cornwall, been wanting to try and get away from my usual style, or at least come up with something fresh, so i’m very happy with this design. probably the most hassle free flyer i’ve done as well didn’t have to change it at all.

secrecy actual

here’s the actual flyer that got printed up for the secrecy night (d&b/dubstep in bristol), people seem to like this style of flyer so there will be quite a few designs going up like it. not my choice but clients seem to like it, luckily they’re spread out around the UK so you shouldn’t see too many in the same place which is good.

Dub Politics Label Launch flyer

here’s another flyer for Dub Politics, this time it’s their label launch night at the O2 Academy in Oxford, can find the on facebook and myspace, with the DJs/producers who started it all ‘Document One’.

unused work

here’s a deisgn for a flyer front i did which was unused, which is a shame as i reckon it’s better than the final one, and would have offered a bit more variation for the back, but gotta go for what clients want.

the idea was the design would work both ways up, the two images are the same just different ways up, is meant to look like a tribal mask type thing. final flyer will be up soon along with the other work that has consumed my life for the past 3 weeks
